THE ADVISORY BOARD OF THE TRUTH SCHOOL

Truth School was born of the abiding faith of design and education professionals in providing young minds with the fire of new thought and intellectual vigour. Deepti Pant is the Chief Mentor of Truth School and is also the Dean, Academic Affairs and Policy. The Advisory Board consists of persons of eminence, intellectual prowess and professional achievement in their fields of work.

Prof. M. M. Pant

Prof. M.M.Pant, former pro- VC of IGNOU, has been keenly interested in using the visual medium to communicate for educational purposes. While at IIT Kanpur, as a Faculty member in the Physics Department, he collaborated with the TV Centre to script and produce a film titled “ ATOMS”, which won the International Cup of Rome award for being the best educational film for the year 1974. During his stay at IGNOU, of which he went on to become the pro Vice Chancellor, he worked actively in the production of educational content. The School of Computer Science , which he was heading, produced the first entirely animated video on ‘ Computer Virus'. He was actively involved in 2 way video-conferencing using the EDUSAT system for both IGNOU and AIMA. Prof. M.M.Pant has also been associated with the Consortium for Educational Communication, a UGC supported Inter-University Centre where he helped design initiatives in the creation of short learning objects and development of courses on script writing for educational content. He has been a member of several juries for selecting educational videos for awards.

 
Prof. Atul Tandan

Prof. Atul Tandan

Prof Atul Tandan has a diverse experience of 37 years, including 25 years in industry. He worked as Marketing Manager at Hindustan Lever Ltd., as GM – Sales at Cadbury (India) Ltd., as Vice President – Marketing at Bajaj Electricals Ltd., and as Managing Director at J.L. Morison (India) Ltd. He did his B.Tech (Hons) from IIT Mumbai in 1969, followed by PGDBA from IIM, Ahmedabad in 1971. He has been director of MICA for 10 years till 2008 and now he is mentor and advisory member of many esteemed universities, colleges and organisations. He is also actively involved in Community Development and women’s education.

 
Prof. Robert Jerrard

Prof. Robert Jerrard

Prof Rob Jerrard is the Professor Emeritus in Design in Design Studies at Birmingham City University, Institute of Art and Design. His PhD and early work as a research fellow at the Royal College of Art, centered on the specific problems faced by technology users in the creative industries. He has published widely on theoretical and social aspects of design. He is also a fellow of the ‘Design Research Society’, an Associate Editor of the ‘Design Journal’, a member of AHRC’s Peer Review College and a research consultant for several UK universities, EPSRC and international publishing groups. He lives in Birmingham.

 
Prashant Tandon

Prashant Tandon

Sri Prashant Tandon has over two decades of experience in journalism and is a known broadcast news editor. He has served in top media houses in key positions and has played a leadership role in the launch and re-launch of news channels. Techno savvy Prashant has admirably blendedo informed and sensitive journalism with excellent management skills. As Head of Assignment and Editor- Newsgathering, he was the part of the core team behind the successful launch of Channel 7 (now IBN 7). He was also part of the launch team of Star News in Mumbai. He has been Executive Editor of India TV and Managing Editor of TV 9 in Mumbai. Currently, Prashant is in process of launching a news channel under his editorship. He has also been to challenging reporting assignments for TV 9 which was the first round the clock news channel of the Business India Group. A firm believer in experiments and innovation in news content, Prashant is an avid reader with vast bandwidth and has a passion for painting, travelling and photography.

 
Satish Chandra

Satish Chandra

Sri Satish Chandra is an administrator. He joined the civil service in Uttar Pradesh and was elevated early to the Indian Administrative Service. In his early administrative career, he played an important role in setting up of infrastructure projects and affordable housing projects at a time when administrative and financial bottlenecks plagued such efforts tremendously. As an administrator, he has been Joint Director of the U.P. Administrative Academy, Nainital and designed and administered courses on contemporary administration for hundreds of young administrators who are in vital positions today. He has also been Secretary of the U. P. Public Service Commission and ensured timely, efficient and trouble free examinations of the Commission. He has also been a Director with ‘Crystal Credit Corporation’, a company which was created with the aim of providing easy and reliable financial access to the poorest of the poor in Uttarakhand. In all his endeavors in a distinguished administrative career, he has maintained the highest standards of efficiency, probity and integrity.
